yes, in all shapes and sizes, but the same colour. HOWEVER, there is an increase in the way these angpows are made, like there's some flowers or orange shapes jutting out of the tip of the red packet... sheesh, innovative.

note, i have not looked at the amount, i'm just thankful i have an extra injection of income. :)

-chatted with distant relatives and parent's friends

haaaa, yes, the PR skills are in the midst of advancing towards a new level. what with the "hi, how are you? you look so beautiful, i like your top.. blahblah. How are your children? must be handsome right?" and the "oh, so where are you schooling?" .. OH, let's not forget the all important DREADFUL question.

and ohmygershwinmusical, you can purely see that they said the 'handsome' statement coz they were expecting a yes lar.

in my opinion, even some not-so-attractive people get spouses and partners, which is totally fine with me, fortunate ones :)

mean, hello, first you ask us whether we've got a girlfriend, and then raise up
a barrage of questions afterward on why we don't have any.. then FINALLY tell us
to CONCENTRATE on our studies rather than get a girlfriend.

-stuffed myself with aunty sue's yu sheng.

it's like the BEST yusheng i've tasted in my whole life, it's the usual health fare of different coloured vegetables, but what makes it so special is that she added shredded abalone, jellyfish and pomelo. fwoar, really melts in your mouth, and the perfect excuse to eat alot coz it's VEGGIE and it's HEALTHY. haaa, i hope it neutralises the pineapple tarts and bakwa (shall rant more on these 2 evil foods later on) .. plus, it's roughage for poo-poo time. so, it's better for the bladder.

haaaa, these 3 are like, staple foods in my household, and ohmygosh, the folded pineapple tarts in like cocoon shapes are my favourites, they just melt in your mouth. ooo. bakwa, the only reason why i support lung cancer, ngeh. and KWAY LAPIS, best preferred with prunes.

and this year, my mum has added Minute Maid lemon+lime drinks into our Drinks Ammunition. like, inhaled within the 1st day, thanks to me.

-slept at 4am plus plus

thanks to my inadequate time management.. or rather DISCIPLINE. been DOTA-ing alot, else procrastinating on my aesthetic analysis which was due last friday (ARMY DAZE!) or Popular Culture Assignment which was ALSO due last friday (smoking). haaaa, oh well, slap me silly and call me timothy.

all in all, i'm kinda happy that my regular CNY tradition has come back, last year wasn't that.. cheerful, but we all grow up sometime right? :)

ahhh, another 3 hours wasted waiting in school... i hope next semester's timetable is mucho better than right now. it's so disgusting.. on tuesday and wednesday, having to wait 3 hours?!

(i know i'm such a contradiction when i said that how i love the long hour breaks a few entries back, but hush)

will be swimming at BV swimming complex.. like i know, the first time me, isaac timothy chan zhi yang, goes to a public swimming complex. how the mighty haveth fallen. LOL.

but i'm desperate to exercise larrrrr. and i'm desperate to get my tan back.

yesterday night, during QT, i felt prompted to read Nehemiah.

Nehemiah was instructed to build the walls of Jerusalem AND defend it at the same time.

wow, speaks levels, to build the walls of my heart WHILE defending it with God's word. like awesome right? How awesome is HE :)

Family Housewarming @ cousin angel's house. not bad, a humble abode with extravagant decorations! i like! next time i'll get a house like that. hur.

borrowed 2 books from her, "kissing the face of God" by Sam Hinn (yes, Benny Hinn's brother) , and "the kiss of Heaven" by Hillsong's Darlene Zschech.

i'm gonna be a bookworm. whee.

afterward, headed down to settler's cafe @ HollandV for some boardgames fun, finally learnt RISK under the tutelage of Seargant Joshua Tan as well as another game called Dragon Delta i think ,something about building bridges and crossing over to your rival opposite in order to win the game. ho hum.

headed down to jalan around Holland V with the cellgroup. i like i like!

and headed home.

and sharks, animation is due on monday, and i've not started AT ALL.

nonfictionproduction tutorial was.. fruitful, aside from the crucial missing production members and their grounds for having such missing information 3 days before a technical shoot and only 5 people turning out for a lighting rehearsal at the studio.. ngeh. nvm, it's over and let's just move on.

town-ed with chris teo + daniel. one word : WOW. haha. and my pool skills aren't THAT bad. :)

a hospitable stay at christopher teo's house yesterday night. apart from the awesome fellowship (aside from the rain that ruined our "midnight snack" with matthew + faith minrui), i have also developed an interest in getting a PS2 (which chris borrowed from his cousin) .. like ohmygersh, God Of War is darn cool lar can..it's like metal gear solid in ancient times.

Final Fantasy XII's graphics are.. beyond description, really such an advancement from the boxy characters in FF7 and the pixelated heroes in FF8.

service was GOD-AWESOME (the pun is definitely intended).. Dr Joyce Meyers came and gave me [personally i feel] a word in season,

1)Where i have to LOVE myself before LOVING others.
2)Be FAITHFUL in the little things i've done.
3)If we know who we are in Christ, we wouldn't be so concerned in our position and status.
4)When you're gifted to do something, it won't seem hard, because God is doing these THROUGH you. :)

the pitching project was okay i guess.. everything went well, except for that darn projector that suddenly screwed up on us. i shan't point fingers on the previous team, ho hum.

the lecturers' feedback was kinda commercialised? but nvm guys, we shall try our best to accomodate their opinions..

totally bad start today.

skipped scriptwriting as i oveslept. and came fer Non-fiction production lecture.

Showing music videos.. and a very bad one by CCCrush .. remember them? Cherry Chocolate Candy? the lightin was hard and atrocious, the direction was abysmal and the shots were so cliche.

oh well, specialist meeting in the afternoon was productive, got down the roles of each person, commitment issues and the likes.

Day 2 of 2006. ahh. Nonchalant.

the morning was spent with Ivy having Bible Studies.. talking about Thanksgiving. learn to give thanks to God at the start of each prayer! it's a COMMAND, not an option. Followed by a delightful Katong Laksa @ Holland V Lunch! wheee. i enjoy moments with my leader :D

the afternoon was at KAP, trying our ultimate best to jumble up something for DramaProduction Project 2 Script submission. Wasn't exactly in my thinking moods, perhaps it's the post-holiday blues. gah. and silly me thought i could get a new passbook, oblivious to the fact that today was a public holiday, much to the amusement of Zul. HUR.

the evening was spent with bronty and mavis @ food republic @ wisma. hurhur, the jokes just brighten up my day. :)

signed up for Singapore Idol again, but may or may not go, where the Lord leads. i'll move. :)
