how do you want people to view you as?
a person who is so charismatic that the commoner would flock to you as you ramble about the most mundane topic such as watching paint dry?
a person who is as dull as a dishwasher that would send people running when you start talking about the way you woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
a person who has principles and would not cave into his moral values even if a person pointed a gun to his head?
a person who is gutless and "WHATEVER" who would just follow what the crowd does ala herd mentality?
now i'm not saying that a place of agreement is NOT a place of power.
truly a place of agreement IS a place of power!
just that, when we compromise to follow what others do, is THINKING about changing and having an INWARD DECISION to shift your mindset to align yourself with the other party.
herd mentality means NOT THINKING and BLINDLY FOLLOWING without an INWARD DECISION to adhere. thus thats why many people drift from decision to decision.
maybe i'm just rambling, but this has been floating in my head for the whole day

so yes, it's a public holiday today, aside from watching "Guess Who" starring Ashton Kutcher & Bernie Mac, been collaborating the mugshots of the mass audition for our IBP a few days ago...
feeling rather restless, and i've sorta had it up to here with my silly wireless, that @#&@! keeps on disconnecting by itself, and apparently LINKSYS is not a very good help, even though they solved my problem, right after i hung up on the toll-free hotline, the bugger still disconnects. NGEH.
anyhooos, was accompanying Andrew to work yesterday, while he took photos of people attending the event, i was by myself, having a drink looking around, yes, same old same old.. seems like i'll never grow tired of that place, though it's rather boring after awhile, rumours are that they may be closing down even. but hush hush. it's just grapevine rumours i suppose.
and was supposed to meet Yongmin! but i guess he left with his friends for supper and apparently he go to know someone yesterday and someone asked about me. ahhh.
eitherways, i'm pretty much rambling, and yes, cg outing was cancelled today ): boohoo. sigh.

the blue velvet, the meringue myriad of dazzled colours.
how the sea of orange clashes among the eclectic beat of citrus variation.
the toy soldier, sturdy and tall,
slowly marching like clockwork, obedient to his owner.
left right left right,
every day, every night.
nearby, the angelic doll,
full of shekinah shining on her.
small beady eyes, a blonde and intricate fringe,
duly placed with much meticulious articulation.
the soldier moves slowly, surely in clockwork timing towards the shelf of the doll.
the angel turns her head away, knowing very well her feelings towards the toy soldier, yet her head has been turned away by her own owner.
tears fall down the soldier's cheek. His heart yearns for a woman whom he can call his own, respect, admiration, submission.
and the angel wants love.
the soldier, suddenly, breaking out of routine, puts down his gun.
He slowly releases the iron cast position of his left hand.
He speaks slowly (albeit his first time) : " i love you with an everlasting love, never have i felt such a wonderous feeling when i'm with you. your eyes have dazzled like the stars in the milky sky. crimson lips with a flawless complexion weaves a spell around my mind, neverending images of happiness as a union between two souls.. "
The Doll, with much grimace and emotion, however, feigns acknowledgement, her face still turns away.
The soldier then lets out a sigh, weeps and grieves over the death of this love and friendship and walks back into the darkness.
where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the future is faced with apprehension rather than anticipation.
the toy soldier's gun gets chewed up by the darkness around him the toy soldier's lips turned a gothic black from a crimson red.
the doll just looks on, anticipating someone else who would declare such love towards her.

feeling a bit upset, one of my music students is gonna stop having lessons soon.. the mum says that she doesn't have time to practise.
i feel very majorly bummed out, faith is such a cute girl, though she maybe a bit over the top at times, but her very adorable antics always make me smile and make my saturday feel so good..
sigh, the saying is always so true, you won't know how much you cherish someone until he/she gets taken away from you.
well, goodbye Faith Ng, i loved the moments we had, where you would pretend the eat the book, or sleep on the piano, or try to steal all my colourful gelstick pens. sigh.

met up with nephew alvin today, aside from having a drink at Tantric and dinner at raffles hotel, it was pretty much routine like of cliche conversations.. but it was great catching up.
it's rather odd to have a nephew who's like 15 years older than you and working in a bank earning big bucks. ahh, the complexity of the cantonese family tree.
