-finish up Foundation Truths bible study 1
-be active in Drama Ministry
-be a responsible producer for specs
-1 more soul before x'mas!

-hopefully in NS by then (but EMERGE conference first plz!)

i think the mundanity of life always seems to sap my zest and zeal for anything i cherish and have passion for.

there will always be seasons of dryness or enthusiasm.

EMOTION is such a strong 7 letter word. it's because of emotion that we say things we shouldn't / should have said. it blocks our conscience.

dad once told mum, don't expect anything in return lest you get disappointed.

i guess that's unconditional love.

everytime i go through a tunnel, there is only that beacon of light at the end that serves as a guide, a (literally) ray of hope.

the vicious cycle has never a break stop, only a chance to move at a slower pace.

A cow maybe just a cow, but it's spots and features are beyond our control.

i have a fetish for vintage tees these few months, so been going on a retail high with newurbanmale + queen's coutre. gah, this is seriously a shopaholic, my instant karma tees are being so neglected. gosh. okay. less quantity, more quality. less street clothes, more newurbanmale + Ed Hardy! WHOO.





so apparently i got on an Ed Hardy high in the CK tang changing room, drastically trying to exchange my baggy Ed Hardy[see below] (which the shopkeepr told me would expand further after frequent wash, thus the tight fits)

yes, looked so cool right. sigh. if only there was a size smaller.

over dinner today, we were talking about Singapore Idol and one of my uncles commented on this which got all the younger generation sniggering:

i had a dream this afternoon during my nap. i was with ivy and another leader, whom i was very close to last time.. and we fellowshipped over a red coach. and we smiled at each other, and laughed and laughed.. talking, sharing feelings. level 4 of the communications level (refer to last week's sermon)

when i woke up, it felt like it was a glimpse of the future.

yesterday Ps Kong talked about writing a love letter to anyone whom has harmed / offended you before.

and i think i WILL write one ..

while on the way home from work this morning, was reading "Happiness is ..." by Dr A R Bernard. and one chapter really got me convinced about true happiness.

True Happiness is dependent on the synchronisation of your
thoughts/motivations and your actions in life.

how true, i guess whenever a person tries to change and let God mould in the beginning, there's always a struggle because though your actions have changed, your mindset might still be a bit laggy.

"you may have left egypt, but egypt has not left you" - a good friend once told me.

and sometimes, a person can be in church for many eons, but he/she probably won't find true happiness for his spirit and flesh are co-inciding in their actions.

thank goodness for God's grace, we are able to pick ourselves up after each battle, but we have to go from strength to strength.

so yesterday was a pretty eventful day.. we went to thai express @ esplanade for kai yim's birthday dinner. the Poo Phat Pung Kari (which nearly majority of the cellgroup has delightfully butcher the thai language) is as always good. curried soft shell crab rice.

then we proceeded up to the rooftop where we performed "every breath you take" by the Police for Kaiyim's birthday. (indeed it's a stalker song but we DUH obviously modified the lyrics) PLUS the awesome fantabulous beyond-words magnificent cool fun dance performed by yours truly, althea, pam and guang jie, made ivy LOL. haha. or in Mes's words. ZOMG. haha.

kaiyim : you are precious both in God's eyes and our cellgroups' eyes! all the best for monday's paper.. :)

afterward, played mafia/murderer (where we sit in a circle and a murderer secretly goes around killing people and we have to like vote ppl out ala survivor style).

apparently, i wasn't very happy on being voted out first for both rounds, and i obviously manifested on the 2nd round. i apologise! must learn to keep my temper in check.

it's a game and i really shouldn't let such small petty things get in the way of the whole cellgroup having a good time.

it's when you're faithful in the little things..

but i did like althea's narration of the killing "Clifford came and ate up Ivy" .. "___ [forgot who] died because piglet played a trick on him/her" LOL. it's disney cute man.

oh yes, and very excellent and fruitful relationship.. finally saw mes after so long! *waves* and we're slowly but surely growing.

somehow, after yesterday night, indeed there was a breakthrough last week, everyone's so much more open and cliche conversations are less between e374 and there's more sharing of feelings and thoughts.. or at least exchanging of information. heh.

cellgroup was very.. heartfelt today, though it was a short sermon, we got to pair up and try to understand the current level of communication with each other. I paired up with Josh and we started talking and i felt that there was a breakthrough and that aside from exchanging information, in time there will be exchanging of beliefs and thinkings. like one of my previous posts have said, i feel that this is a God-given friendship. ain't gonna let this slip away.

oh, and we surprised kaiyim at her house at Yishun after cell! she was super touched, i have some pictures, but as i'm being very nice, i decided not to post it up due to kaiyim's (presumbly she's) objection/objecting.

disclaimer: many other friends are key in my life, but these 3 stand out... read below!

Share a memorable moment that happened with each of them?

1- it's pretty much the outings we've had with the cellgroup. As a leader, she is always the one who heads the group with gusto and enthusiasm. Like during rollerblading (refer to previous posts), she would always encourage the other members (including me) to always keep on trying and learning. I guess what really makes her stand out is the ability to empathise with my weaknesses and always encourages me to strive towards being a new creation for God.

2- i've gotten to know joshua better through the past few weeks, but i can feel an assurance that this is a God-given friendship. There's a sense of peace when i go out with him, even if we hardly talk. He encourages me, looks out for me like a big brother. and even during a point where i was so nervous about something, he just nods his head, gives an assuring grin and a strong voice that says "everything will be fine" and that kept me going. what can i say, really happy for a friend like him.

3- there's a transparency between the both of us, the chemistry to talk and never grow bored (or at least that's what i feel) Of course, her laughing at my awfully lame/corny jokes also helps increase my ego abit. but she's a great helper in her cellgroup and she constantly strives to show non-believers the incredible presence of God's love in her life. Even through this, i feel mightily challenged to never stop sowing into people's lives and eventually bring them to Jesus. with a fellow evangelist on fire, no one's impossible to save!

so the day was pretty much spent having alot of alone time... began to just reflect on what i've been doing with my one-life.


yes, here i am suntanning at DELTA swimming complex... this was taken yesterday when it was very cloudy, but today was awfully sunny and TADAA!!I GOT MY AMAZING BROWN SKIN BACK *turtle dance emoticon*

headed to gym..

then dinner with mummy at crystal jade @ great world city!!! *big grin*

oh and on monday, i actually went out to see my distant uncle's new cafe down at WATERLOO BUILDING.



apparently, the food isn't that bad ( i love the japanese curry fish!), it's concept is the ordering and messenging service. See the pipes at the back? it uses suction force..

yeah, and each pipe goes into every individual table.

at the table, you have a button to press to activate the suction force, but before that, you should unscrew the orange lid .. and take out the ..

cute ornate little ball (those 50Cents or watever machine that has a little trinket inside machines) yeap, afterward, cover it back, press the button and ZOOOM goes to the counter.

oh yeah, where was i yesterday? wanted to reload more photos but i think blogger has a cap on photos per blog. eitherhooochies, yeap! we were at suntec city > esplanade > merlion

here i am posing cheesily with the lovely acryllic-painted card to ivy on her welcome-back-from-HK by our creative Cheryl!

P.S : Ps Phil Pringle usually uses acryllic paint to to do some of his lovely cross paintings. google it up!

Me and Pamela, my sister from another mother. :) haha, i think we (including Althea) were quite high then, we were talking about Singapore Idol.. which PS: Al! your laughters are SUPER infectious... heee.

winnie in her newurbanmale cap aptly called david & goliath, and behind is ivy & candice chatting. we're at the esplanade library, which is a great chillout place recommended by Candice. not bad! except for the constant botherings by the security for our noise (we weren't loud! it was the group next us!)


then we headed over to the fullteron area, and ivy spotted this floor light that beamed upwards. MEET YA MAKER. not exactly a flattering picture. my baby cheeks aren't reflected in a good manner here. and i guess i gotta work on my upper chest more.. it looks like.. NEVERMIND.

and finally, a panoramic (hope i'm using the word correctly here) view of the Merlion from the pier at the Fullerton Area.. awesome night, great company!

SATURDAY

service was excellent, it talked all about the dangers of being in debt. and how a married couple (which i will be in the future!) would benefit working together as one through many methods such as recording purchases.

i used to do this when i was younger when i started out working at Sizzler, i'd have a little ice cream tub and i labelled receipts and i'd dump all my purchases (which was usually taxi receipts as i was frequently late for morning shift)

SUNDAY

cellgroup talked about the 4 levels of commitment to a Church vision. it was awesome, the presence of God was very tangible, i felt that this was a sermon that was significant to e374 as we are destined to go from Glory to Glory, aside from the love we have for each other, there is a need to love God fervently and wholeheartedly.

y'see, whether ya a christian or not, ya gotta agree with me on this. LOVE IS A SACRIFICE.

for love, you'd skip your tv programme to fetch your child to work.

for love, you'd miss your regular meal time and eat with your other half.

for love, you'd compromise and eat what your best friend likes.

for love, you'd sacrifice Your son on the cross for the redemption of the world and the promise of salvation.

so, as e374 grows deeper.. let us all have a sacrifice of praise and servanthood as we embark into the levels of commitment, namely, membership, friendship, ministry & missions! :D

the night was quite productive with the IBP group. yes, DarkInkProductions has been aptly renamed Perennial productions. With the agenda done, we ordered KFC online (after much debate on whether single meals are more worth it than a party meal) and watched "the Longest Yard"

pretty eventful day. and ivy shared with us just now during cellgroup, that sometimes, when you have uncertainty or you don't feel the peace of God in your heart, it's usually a prompting to pray through it. and that's what i will do!

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him: I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life, will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation" - Psalms 91:14-16 (NIV)

so much of God's promises in just 2 verses, how can i not love Jesus? His promises are YES & Amen! :)

yeah, we went ROLLERBLADING on teacher's day! haha, look at our foot sizes.

at one point i decided to whip out my handphone and snap the group together, and apparently cheryl misunderstood i guess adn tried to get out of the way. heeeee!

we had a chocolate spread for a cellgroup refreshment last week! yeah, looks damn droolsome. There's the Milo Cake from althea,cheryl and winnie. Then the hokkaido bread from ivy, the nice chocolate dipped marshmallows and cereal tarts by Candice, and finally, THE MOST CREATIVE AND COLOURFUL MASTERPIECE by Joshua, Jonathan and me, it's called David and Goliath.

If you notice the big bun, that's goliath, and the 4 yellow M&Ms are the stones by david who is the kitkats. the rest are just terrain material. awesome yes? and afterward, we were ALL on a sugar high. haha.






yes, after gazing at Cheryl's ravenblack beautiful hair, she has finally told me that it's from BIGEN BLACK POWDER DYE! :D

so yeap, did it myself, not much difference, but wanted a dark black hair.

but then, after doing the whole thing, it looks so mundane that i wanna dye it multi colours like Ps Zhuang! i am SOOOO fickle minded. >_<
